CODE OF CONDUCT

At PyCon DZ, we are committed to creating a welcoming, respectful, and inclusive environment for all participants, regardless of their origin, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, socioeconomic status, age, ability, race, or ethnicity. We expect all participants, including speakers, volunteers, sponsors, and attendees, to adhere to this Code of Conduct.

What we expect from you :

  • Be respectful : Treat all participants with respect and dignity by listening to and considering their opinions and ideas.
  • No harassment : Harassment in any form, including sexual harassment, is unacceptable. If you witness or experience harassment, please report the incident immediately to a member of the organizing team.
  • Be inclusive : Promote diversity and inclusion. Do your best to create a welcoming environment for everyone.
  • Respect the space : Respect the conference venue, provided materials, and common areas.
  • Follow event rules: Adhere to the specific event rules, including session schedules and safety guidelines.

What you can expect from us:

  • We will take all necessary measures to ensure your safety and well-being during the event.
  • All violations of the Code of Conduct will be handled seriously and confidentially. Appropriate actions will be taken, including expulsion from the event.
  • We commit to providing a point of contact for reports of harassment or other Code of Conduct violations.
  • We will strive to resolve issues promptly and fairly.

By participating in PyCon DZ, you agree to abide by this Code of Conduct. We encourage you to report any inappropriate behavior you may observe so that we can maintain a respectful environment for everyone.

How to Report an Incident or Ask Questions ?

If you are being harassed or discriminated against, witness harassment or discrimination towards other participants, or anticipate an incident, please contact an organizing team member (for an event) or a member of the PyCon DZ steering committee immediately.
